A collection of selected pseudorandom number generators with linear structures
Extended Version, January 2001.
The article below contains a collection of linear random number generators that were implemented in commercial software, used in applications, and some of which have extensively been tested. It also demonstrates shortcomings of linear congruential generators in parallel environments, and provides a voluminous (historical) bibliography on (linear) random number generation. A former version was provided as technical report in 1997.
